A summary table presents the customers who have created a wishlist, with the following information:
Customer: Name, first name, email
Total amount of the list
Credited amount
Status: Public or private
Closure date
Sharing a wishlist allows your customers to send a link to their friends, giving them the opportunity to contribute to its funding.
To share a wishlist:
On the store, while logged into your customer account, access a wishlist
Click on the icon with three circles. When displayed on a black background, it means the wishlist is in shared mode
Your customers can share their wishlist in two ways:
Share a link: Copy and send the wishlist link to friends
Add emails: Enter the email addresses of the friends they want to share the list with
To allow friends to contribute, check the option Allow people funding my wishlist
Once shared, the wishlist displays new information:
Total amount: In gray
Amount available to withdraw: In light green
Amount already withdrawn: In dark green
On each product page, the number of contributing friends and a progress bar showing the amount collected versus the total price are displayed.
This page is fully customizable using the code editor (colors, texts, circle, progress bar).
To unpublish a wishlist, click on Unpublish this wishlist
Once the wishlist is unpublished, friends who previously had access will no longer be able to view it.
When a friend contributes to a shared wishlist, the creator receives an email notification (if Klaviyo has been integrated into the setup).
On the wishlist page, the amounts are updated, allowing the collected funds to be withdrawn.
To withdraw funds from the wishlist:
Click on the three dots on the wishlist page
Select the available amount and click Withdraw
After receiving the confirmation message, the creator will get an email from Shopify containing a gift card, its code, and the corresponding amount. By integrating the Gift Card block, the gift cards will be directly visible in the creator’s customer account.
To help you better understand what the application offers to your customers, this section outlines the actions a customer can perform on a wishlist, as well as the steps to create one. These features provide flexible and intuitive wishlist management.
The creation of a wishlist depends on whether the visitor is logged in or not, and whether the multi-wishlist mode is enabled.
Logged-out visitor: They can add products to their favorites, but access to their list depends on the wishlist configuration settings.
Additionally, a non-logged-in visitor cannot create multiple wishlists.
Logged-in visitor: a logged-in visitor can directly add products to their wishlist
Multi-wishlist mode disabled: favorite products are automatically added to the existing wishlist. If no wishlist exists, a new one is created
Multi-wishlist mode enabled: each time a product is added to favorites, the visitor can select an existing wishlist or create a new one
From the multi-wishlist page or a specific wishlist, your customers can:
Share their wishlist and send an email to their friends (integration with Klaviyo)
Add one or more products to the cart
Delete one or more products
Move one or more products to another wishlist
Modify product quantities
Rename the wishlist
Delete the wishlist
For a wishlist to receive contributions, ensure that the Allow contributions option is enabled in the app settings and that the creator has configured their wishlist to accept contributions.
To access a wishlist, you must either receive an email invitation or have the sharing link.
Once these two conditions are met, friends can contribute to the wishlist:
In a shared wishlist, hover over a product and click Contribute
Enter the amount or use the arrows to set your contribution, then click Create
A badge will appear on the product to indicate your contribution, along with the amount contributed.
To finalize your contribution, click Go to payment
At this stage, you will see the name of the wishlist and the products you are contributing to.
The option to add a product image to the wishlist can be enabled in the app's configuration.
Once the contribution is confirmed, the wishlist creator receives an email via Klaviyo (see how to activate this option here). They can then withdraw the contribution.
Contributions are securely processed through Shopify's Payment Service Provider (PSP).
Friends with whom visitors share a wishlist have access to the following information:
